"Feeding The Pot" Book Launch

We're excited to have had our book launch for "Feeding The Pot" at Standard & Strange stores in Berkeley and New York! This book is a conversation between ‘W’menswear’ founder Lauren Yates and Thitima Buntai, owner of ‘Nang Khram’, about indigo culture in Thailand’s Northeastern province of Sakon Nakorn. In Sakon Nakorn, know-how about indigo has been passed down for generations amongst families, villages, and townships, where locals like Buntai still thrive off the cottage industry today.

By growing, fermenting, and dying with natural indigo, Thitima Buntai supports her family as a self-reliant business owner. She continues a long lineage of local indigo wisdom by cross-pollinating know-how with neighboring artisans in Sakon Nakhon. She is also teaching a new generation the skills and knowledge of the craft. In this book, these women leaders reflect on the commitment, community, and knowledge that keeps this age-old Thai wisdom craft authentic.

W'menswear is proud to work with independent artisans like Buntai to transform her designs into reality and maintaining authenticity every step of the way.

Thank you to everyone who made it to the launch events! The book is now available for purchase online here.
