This time, the elements of greatness like clothes that reek of badassery and a cast and crew who all stand up as rad people in their own right. This book is to be released tomorrow and marks photographer Eric Kvatek’s 33rd book shot for the ultimate denim nerd’s psychedelic dreamland.

We’ve put together some classic looks that will get you from A to B, the gym to class, and off to work, all in the name of style. At Ponytail Journal, we believe this word can’t be taken too seriously, nor can the decision between a plain white oxford or one with a 3D print that requires red and blue glasses to experience fully. Alasdair McLellan has yet again communicated her exquisite fictional world that we can’t help but think about stories of audacity during war time. Our pals The Hill-Side are having a fiery sample sale. Like the ones you see on TV where there are spinning logos and end words are repeated in threes. New York model Anastasiia Chorna did a total 180 for us by going behind the camera, shooting new season women’s sportswear on Odessa Beach in Ukraine. Snaps were snapped, kebabs were exchanged, and she even gave out her phone number for the sake of art.

This year brings the 10th year that our oyster loving, Harley riding, s’mores centred, funnest photographer ever has been shooting for Kapital, and that’s kind of epic in itself. We’ve just made new friends with The Mercantile, internet newness that speaks to a slightly more feminine flavour of w’menswear to the table. The store together hand selected vintage pieces from California alongside modern basics and interior accessories designed by the founders themselves, and we bring you favourites from their latest vintage drop.

There can’t be yin without yang too far away. Elza and Joost of Atelier de l’Armee are the breed of folk who enjoy well made objects that tests the truth of time, and the pockets of fun that inspire us in life. We ’expound’ on how it takes a highly evolved human - or a fine match between two (sometimes opposing) minds - to produce a product that speaks to people today while referencing greatness through history.

In France, I love the fact that the average Joe has a wardrobe full of classic cuts, wools and linens. Matthew Dolan made a new food-group everyone. He shredded his classic American sandwich up into strips, wove it into a rainbow cake and when you bite into it, you burp unicorns while farting sparkles. The sum of its parts made a whole new thing. It’s workwear for women at its highest evolution.

It’s almost impossible to go past a David Hart ensemble. So, we couldn’t bare missing his Bauhaus flavoured Spring Summer ’16 showing at Industria Superstudio today for the first day of the New York men’s shows. We asked our pal Emil Corsillo of The Hill-Side to show us his favourite looks, because he has impeccable taste. Pretty much spot on.

It’s not often that you come across a collection where you would see yourself wearing every garment, but Haversack did just that for us this coming season. They nailed that fine balance between looking new while referencing the past, and especially in menswear where so much inspiration is drawn from vintage, it’s hard to maintain a unique and strong aesthetic without being compared to someone else.
