SYDNEY’S BEST FISHING SPOTS.

While in Sydney last, we went fishing with Matt Rees of marine research group, ’Fish Thinkers’ to understand more about how we should be moving towards a foraged bait system when we go fishing. We fished for luderick that day using floats and some stinky weed bait, and you can learn how to do it yourself here too.

ANNE'S GUIDE TO TAKAYAMA AND KANAZAWA.

The hokuriku shinkansen between Tokyo and Kanazawa has opened a door for those wary of the long hours and unnecessary stops accompanied with train travel. WELCOME TO OUR BANGKOK. / ONE YOUNG WORLD SUMMIT

This week we welcome the world’s pearls of wisdom into the Kingdom of Thailand for the 2015 One Young World summit, an organisation that voices young peace makers, environmentalists, sustainable business advocates, and delegates of equality on a global stage. It comes at a time where the world is seeking freedom, comfort, answers, and guidance after recent terror attacks and the overwhelming number of refugees seeking hope, yet the message is simple: live life with the freedom that we are entitled to.

PONYTAIL + BACKYARD BILL DO PARIS.

Presenting you our favourite things to do in Paris. Every stone surface, marble floor, forged iron fence, grandaddy fruit tree, and crack in the pavement is a magnificent mark of time, and I think the French are right to be preserving it with a mighty stubborn foot. So we tip our hat to inspirational juju that’s rooted in Paris, and the many colourful characters who explore the Universe in a wonderfully French light.

TREASURE HUNTING IN 21ST CENTURY HONG KONG

TREASURE HUNTING IN 21ST CENTURY HONG KONG

Hong Kong, a powerful sensory punch in the face, is somewhere yo need to visit before you die. Besides the Michelin starred dim sum joints that will have you queuing round the block for a table, and the incredible hikes you can take in the mountainous landscape, it has so much to offer the Ponytail traveller. One of our favourite things to do in any city would be thrifting for old things, a treasure hunt if you want to call it that, and Ponytail correspondant Anne Berry shows us how it’s done in the balmy harbour city...

In this region we have extraordinary wines, olive oils, great French cookery, Medieval towns, archeological sites, swimmin’ holes, specialty pate’s, pies, and one of the best music festivals ever.
