Tonight the Nigel Cabourn family will officially celebrate vintage military, great women through history, and the beauty in detail with ‘Cabourn’s Vintage Exhibition & Ballroom’ in Tokyo. Expect an incredible collection of vintage and deadstock military pieces from Nigel’s personal archive, and in true Cabourn fashion, the funnest swing band they could get their hands on for the night’s runway show. Classic Cabourn characters and friends of the label will be involved, and I myself will be skipping down head to toe in their w’menswear line with my pal Joseph Au.
Ponytail pal Eric Kvatek who I worked with on the latest Kapital campaign, came to Tokyo to shoot this preview. It’s a little window to show you what’s to come featuring Nige himself, some of his favourite British, Japanese, and German military pieces, and the label’s talented womenswear designer Ovelia Transtoto who I has become a great personal friend. If this is just the beginning, I can’t freaking wait for what the future holds in the w’menswear world.
Above are Ponytail Pals Nigel Cabourn, Kiro Hirata, Ovelia Transtoto, and Arran Gregory shot in Nakameguro by Eric Kvatek.
