At first glance, the W’menswear AW17 collection stands at ease in utilitarian stance. This winter, the brand has reshaped some of the most iconic men’s workhorses; like the USN pop-over smock, hunter’s jacket, fly fishing vest, US army pants, mechanic’s coverall, Helicopter pilot’s jacket, military coverall, and quilted marine sweatshirt, softened by a feminine sensibility in shape and constructed with the finest slow-made Japanese fabrics. It is the ultimate winter wardrobe for the funnest women possible.
Today at Ponytail Supplies we are chuffed to be releasing the first drop of the collection. Watch out for some hard working winter staples that will keep giving for years to come. From this season onwards, W’menswear has also committed to working with a Northern Thai indigo dyeing studio called ‘Slowstitch Studio’ for an ongoing collaboration to produce rich natural indigo colourways and shibori patterns. You will find a fun interpretation of the classic French ‘mariniere’ stripes in shibori, as well as the brand’s playful take on rain camo over a Khadi shawl neck shirt coming next week.
