When it comes to looking after yourself, I’m stubborn about sticking to a routine. My life is so chaotic that the daily ‘must do’ is what seems to keep me together. It’s habit forming behaviour that can eliminate decision fatigue, and lets us go about our lives focusing on the more meaningful stuff. To me the idea of being a ‘creature of habit’ is not bad at all. It’s quite smart really. To be able to program yourself to do something on autopilot is quite an amazing trick. It means we don’t forget things, and if you train yourself right then you will be able to keep yourself in real good knick even when your diary is bursting at the seems and you are dazed by jet lag.
