STYLING NOTES FROM A HIP-HOP GOURMET.

STYLING NOTES FROM A HIP-HOP GOURMET.

As we all know, there is no manual, guide book, or policing in style. It is fleeting, it is up to the choice of its wearer, and it is an expression of who you are and what you stand for. This week we profile our hip-hop producing pal Onra in his favourite vintage pieces, of which reflect his tastes, passions, and influences.

Why the satin NBA jacket?

I found it in Bangkok for $2.50 and I think it’s a referee jacket specially made for the All Star game in ’95 and I’m a big NBA fan. It’s even cooler that the year is written on it.

Favourite NBA team then?

Indiana Pacers.

You always play in a rad wind breaker, any favourite brands?

Whatever I find second hand… Yeah I guess Tommy Hilfiger would be my favorite.

Tell me about that hat.

I found it at Chatuchak from my special hat seller. I like it because it’s denim from the early 90s.

Why the 90s?

Coz I grew up in the 90s… Because nostalgia?
