The Limited Edition C-9 Capsule - “Fearless Women of Flight”

Today, on International Day of the Girl, we’re releasing a very special capsule collection in a collaboration with Randolph Engineering.

The capsule is made by a female-led team, and honours the courageous women aviators who broke down barriers for female advancement throughout history. Accompanied by authentic Randolph Aviation eyewear, each piece in the collection was manufactured from end-of-use nylon C-9 parachute fabric.

C-9 Para-Hat

The packable bucket hat packs away into its own safety orange inner pouch. The lightweight hat is quilted with a lightweight fill, equipped with sand-blasted metal eyelets and nylon webbing. The unisex hat stays in place with a nylon drawstring strap and adjustable metal stopper.

C-9 Para-Parka

The unisex pullover parka is sandwich quilted with a lightweight fill, and packs away into an inner pouch. The safety orange body was inspired by early flight jackets that could aid rescue visibility in the case of a plane crash. The kangaroo pocket closes on each side with sandblasted metal zippers, while the hood and hem can be adjusted with a vintage cotton herringbone drawstring.

23K Satin Gold Aviator

The W’menswear x RANDOLPH Aviator features vintage Crystal Mazzuchelli acetate and SkyForce™ Nylon Non-Polarized lenses, replicating issued eyewear from the first American woman’s mission to space in 1983. Using nylon materials from reclaimed parachutes, the limited-edition sunglass case is made from cut and sewn C-9 Parachute into a quilted pattern and is inspired by aviator cases previously used for space expeditions.

Para Fanny-Pack

The design of the three exterior pockets were inspired by medical pouches used by G.I.’s in combat. This fanny pack can be worn crossbody, around the waist, or under the arm thanks to its adjustable nylon strap. The adjustable strap is designed with a magnetic clip-in fastening system for easy access.
