We helped style what we do best, vintage workwear pieces to visualise a concept for the upcoming ladies’ Cabourn x Lybro season while up at the Cabourn design HQ in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Mood boarding is a vital step in the design process; it visually solidifies a direction and sometimes dictates the colour palate of the collection. Our research into women at work during WW2 has lead us down this elegant pathway that painted a platform in the discourse of feminine identity. We are fascinated with the idea that women express their femininity, not only instinctually but in pushing our ability and intellects. That’s why we draw so much inspiration from the greatness that grew from this romantic era.
