Spring Summer 2018 is a milestone for our friend Nigel Cabourn who is celebrating not only the birth of a new design concept to his body of work, but also 50 years since he started fashion school in 1967 where his life long career and passion kicked off. The context of 1967 plays an incredible role in the domino of events that brought Nigel to where he is now, and in terms of political and cultural impact there are so many factors that played in his pathway.

We’re catching up with (re)vision society co-founder Stacey who is road testing a new concept that she likes to call Clever Clothing, a new venture for the label who have collaborated with the public to solve the huge issue of inefficiency and waste in the garment industry.

There’s nothing like starting the new year with one of our favourite flea market events in the world, Made By Legacy, one that prides itself on well curated vintage, heritage wear, deliciousness, great tunes, good booze and most of all the best of fun. This weekend, we’ll be throwing down our favourite vintage pieces like Early 20th Century French workwear and homewear, Thai antique ikats, USMC Vietnam war era and WW2 era goods, W’menswear Fall schwagg, and bags by our pals Revision Society.

As the weather sinks into a foggy slumber, autumn brings a light bite to the air as we start to rug up and set up camp for the winter solstice. We bring you some inspiration for the colder months in collaboration with our pals at Revision Society who have developed a new set of versatile winter pieces, designed to adapt to the changing weather, and made completely from surplus fabrics from luxury garment production that would otherwise go into landfill.

The London Collection Men’s show is the gun shot welcome to a new season by the home of Authentic British Menswear that is Nigel Cabourn. Mens and Womens sit side by side; the story of the British field army during World War II rubs shoulders with inspirational force American war photographer Lee Miller. My go-to closed toe shoe in warmer weather would undoubtedly be the canvas sneaker. So let me explore this in a very simple form. I’m taking you over to the most basic of materials, canvas, to talk about how the wonderful fabric can shape the most hard working shoe.

Our first season for W’menswear has closed its order books to our new retailers around the world. We couldn’t be more chuffed with the response to our debut Fall collection, and to give you an idea of what goes on in the underbelly of the rag trade, we invite you to share the journey with us.

So we went to see their entire design and manufacturing process to get an idea of how it all works and how the system is bound for collapse.
