Fresh off the press and our pals Emil and Sandy Corsillo of The Hill-Side have grabbed place of ’GQ’s Best New Menswear Line’. Thinking about the ingredients that make a energy bubble like the Corsillos’ and I’ve put it down to a great balancing act of taking and giving. Here we asked co-founder Emil about smells, life, and zombies, as well as explore their tight thread tradery.

History is what inspires and informs who we are here at Ponytail Journal. It guides us forwards, inspires us to create, and perhaps gives us space to revisit our own identity. This week’s w’menswear editorial is much a reflection of history’s greatness that we strive to keep alive. The setting is much inspired by early portraiture that characterised early photography where thought, consideration, styling and the preciousness of each shot were made it special.

Our pals The Hill-Side are having a fiery sample sale. Like the ones you see on TV where there are spinning logos and end words are repeated in threes. In celebration of all things sample, all things well made, and all things very affordable, founder Emil Corsillo took a bunch of selfies in their warehouse to show you the many uses for their wares.
