Like tidal rocks are littered with molluscs, the French coastline is dotted with wonderfully old ports, castles, and cobblestone. The way I grew up, super old stuff wasn’t around, nor were super old traditions, so naturally I have a penchant for materials and practices that are traceable through the sands of time. Fishing and sailing is exactly that kind of old goodness I’m talking about, so what an idea to shoot my seaside heritage themed W’Menswear editorial this week in the old town of Honfleur. I’ve styled these ‘his & hers’ looks with some classic French workwear that has truly characterised the weathered coastline.
